This is a complete set of vintage chessmen by Wm. This set is 36H "Drueke's Luxury Line Chess" aka the Player's Choice Chess Set heavy weighted version. It has an original Drueke walnut storage box and original instruction sheet. Pieces are in great condition.

Chessmen are made of a hi-impact, satin finish plastic in tan and black colors. They are weighted and have their green felt bottoms intact. No cracks, breaks, chipping, repairs or scrapings.

The Finger jointed wood box is chipped on top slide and SLIGHT separation at rear of box. I believe the top is simulated walnut grain and not sure if it is original. Here'a little background on the set. The Drueke chessmen were among the most popular tournament sets in America during the 1960s and 1970s. Their classic Staunton design and durable construction made them a "must-have" for players young and old during the Fischer boom. Production stopped in the early 1980s. They continue to be highly sought after by collectors and players. This is a great opportunity to add a genuine Drueke set with original wood box to your chess collection or just for enjoyment at your next tournament or casual play at home. 36H COLORS: tan and jet black with a matte finish COMPOSITION.
