Antique German Regency Chess Set Complete in Antique Chess Box / Board

  
Here is a really lovely old antique German Regency Set with lots of character and immensely rich patina. It remains complete and in good condition throughout.

It has been nicely hand carved, with nice detailing on the knights, for example. The chess pieces come in a lovely old box with a rich patina from years of being played.

However, there is some wear and cracks to one side so please see the photos carefully. The box when folded measures opened measures approximately 31.5 cm squared X 6.5cm (folded depth) X 31.5 cm squared X 3.5 cm depth when opened up fully flat to play. Each individual square measures approximately 3.7cm squared.

The approximate size of the pieces is as follows. Queen: 6.5 cm; Rook: 4 cm; Knight: 6.3 cm; Bishop 4.9 cm; Pawn: 3.5 cm.

The set is complete & comes in good quality box which has a loose lid as one of the runners along the side of the box has broken off. It weighs approximately 1 kg.
