Original antique French Regence / Regency wooden chess set in wooden box. The Regency style of chess set was very popular throughout the 19th and early 20th centuries and was made famous by the Cafe de Regence, Paris. The set is complete with 32 pieces and the largest piece measuring 3½ inches tall approx. The set in very good condition with 8 black ebony pieces having small cracks, please refer to the above photographs for details of condition. Please see my other auctions for more vintage games.
