Antique Staunton Chess Set Complete Very Good Condition & Boxed

  

Here is a vintage wooden chess set complete and in very good condition throughout. It is either an English or a French set. The pieces are not weighted or baize lined. However, they have been very nicely carved and have a lovely old polished and well worn patina.

The white pieces have a lovely golden patina and the black pieces have a worn polished black and brown patina. The approximate size of the pieces is as follows. Queen: 6.8 cm; Rook: 4.5 cm; Knight: 5 cm; Bishop 6 cm; Pawn: 4.1 cm.

The set is complete although one of the knights has had its base replaced. Please see the photographs to get a better idea / picture of what it is like. The set comes in modern black box which Opens and closes okay.
