Piatigorsky Cup was utilized in the historical PIATIGORSKY CUP CHESS TOURNAMENT held in 1963 and 1966.

The Piatigorsky Monarch is 4.4 Inch high and the pieces are amply weighted. The lighter pieces are of boxwood and the darker ones are mahogany stained and polished to shine.
