Vintage wooden chess set in wooden box - Staunton pattern - King 95mm - VGC. Seen here is a beautiful vintage wooden set of chess pieces in a solid and decorative Storage box. The pieces are weighted and retain the original felt and are estimated to be from the 1950-60s.

They could either be German Staunton or made in the style of Petrushkin games, a UK company. The tallest piece is 95mm and the knights have a fairly unique design.

The pieces are stored in a solid and heavy wooden box with the lid designed to close the box shut. The box and pieces weigh 1.05 kg.
