Vintage Wooden (Mahogany) Cutlery Canteen/Box to Accommodate a 12 place Setting
Vintage Large Empty Mahogany Solid Wood Cutlery Canteen to accommodate a full 12 place setting (no Cutlery Included). The high quality unusual canteen has a lift up lid with two hinged side compartments and a lift out shelf with storage beneath. All the compartment area's are labelled for the cutlery they intend to accommodate. The box is original both inside and out, there is brass inlay within the lid as shown, all the hinges and locks are solid brass.
The whole canteen is in good original condition with age related fading, marks, scratches and wear which you would expect for its age. Sorry but no key, The cartouche in the centre of the lid has not been engraved. Sizes (measured along the base mouldings) are 54cms long x 47cms wide x 20cms high. Unpacked weight is approx' 10Kg.
