Imperial or The Staunton Improved. 3.8 KINGS (9.67CM). BOXWOOD EBONY WITH XYLONITE KNIGHTS. CROWN STAMPED ROOKS AND KNIGHTS. Some VERY minor chips and scuffs which are expected due to the age of the set which is about 120 years.

Some restoration mainly to the top of the bishops see the photo. Great patina very nice set. The box has obvious wear on the outside (see photos) but the label is in good condition, this probably an 1891 set as there is not felt in the box not even on the lid.
