SOLTI WAGNER Der Ring Des Nibelungen 1st UK DECCA DELUXE WOODEN BOX SET 1-22

  
1st press Deluxe Wooden Box issue of Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen, Solti conducting the Vienna Philharmonic. UK Decca pressing RING 1-22. All 4 operas come with their own colour coordinated Decca inner sleeves and booklets. Also in this set is the 3lp Introduction to the Ring. Records are in nice condition, very light usage.

The previous owner informed me she played this set maybe 1 or 2 times. Vast majority of sides are in EX; this set has seen very little play, records only have 1 or 2 spindle marks on the labels, (many 0 spindle trails).

The records are very well looked after and show no signs of mishandling or scratches of any sort, but many have a light pattern left on the vinyl from storage in the poly-lined inner sleeve for the last 45+ years. These "sweating" marks are mainly very light and do not affect play. 1 side of An Introduction to the Ring... Has a small 5mm pressing mark that will cause some ticks. Colour Coded Inner Sleeves are NM to EX.

Booklets are in NM to EX condition. Wooden Box is in EX condition, small area of yellowing on the top left hand corner on the graphic on the front of the box. "Book End" Slip cases are EX.

All records come in the original matching Decca Poly-lined inner sleeves, (great condition) - please see photos. Some discs may require a light clean before playback. All records graded under a strong light to strict standards. I do not clean records, (I don't have an ultrasonic machine), if any of the discs need a clean this will be mentioned in the listing; I would advise all records to be pro cleaned to ensure the best possible playback.
